National Portrait

These pictures are so inspiring, so much so that I am considering to enter the Taylor Wessing portrait competition. This all depends on whether I find a subject I think would be worthy of the competition.
Portraiture is what I want to focus on.

The first photograph is by Gandee Vasan and is called Davita, Sitali and Paul, the second is by David Graham of a Rwandan street child holding a Harry Portter book, and the third is a portrait of Mohamed 'Mo' Farah by Kate Peters.

The second image in my favorite; the way the little boy is clinging onto the book like its the only worthy thing  left for to hold onto in his life. I'm not sure if he's a street-kid; his clothes, his hands and that book all look too clean. I cant help but see sadness in his eyes.
